About CAREY
Carey’s 30+ year nursing career has spanned the most junior senior roles in both the public and private health sectors. Reporting to the CEO, her current role is part of the executive leadership team of a NZ-wide organisation geographically spread from Invercargill to Auckland. She provides professional, technical and clinical leadership and direction to over 1200 employees – 800 or so being nurses.
About my talk
Carey will provide some insights into the challenges and rewards of straddling the worlds of executive strategy, management operations and front-line person-centred care provision. Breaking down the walls of the perceived Ivory Tower, injecting a dose of pragmatism to high level strategy and providing vision and a sense of purpose to the all-important front-line are her key drivers - along with having fun at work.
